Becoming a host family step by step

Wondering how to join our network of host families in Bristol?

  • Get in touch

    The first step is to get in touch with us by phone, email or filling out the form on the contact us page

  • Initial assessment

    After the initial contact, we will arrange a call to discuss suitability, expectations and support

  • Home visit

    We will then agree on a time to carry out a home visit. Safety certificates such as gas safe certificate will be required at this stage

  • Paperwork

    We try to keep the process as simple as possible but there will be some documents that need to be read and signed to ensure students' safety and wellbeing

  • First student/s arrival

    Once dates have been agreed, you will receive your first hosting appointment. We will also share useful information, FAQ and out 24/7 emergency number

  • Payment

    We aim to complete all payments within 7 days but this can take slightly longer if it's the first time you're hosting.
